Introduction

JobDNA is a cutting-edge, AI-driven recruitment platform I designed and developed to transform the job-matching experience for both jobseekers and employers. Built using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and jQuery, this fully responsive website leverages intelligent matching and real-time interaction to connect the right candidates with the right opportunities faster and more effectively.

JobDNA is more than just a job board—it's a complete, two-sided system that streamlines recruitment through technology, offering a fresh, interactive approach to hiring that’s both human-friendly and algorithmically smart.

Challenges

  1. Creating a Dual-Sided User Experience
    Designing a system that equally serves the needs of jobseekers and recruiters, each with different user journeys and goals.

  2. Managing a Massive Skills Database
    Integrating and organizing a dataset of over 20,800 verified skills across 6,200+ job roles in a way that’s intuitive and efficient.

  3. Developing a Smart Matching Algorithm
    Crafting a mechanism that evaluates skill compatibility with precision and initiates real-time notifications based on threshold matches.

  4. Mobile-First, Swipe-Based Interactivity
    Building a fluid, engaging user interface that mimics modern app behaviors (like swipe left/right), all within a browser environment.

  5. Delivering Real-Time Feedback & Alerts
    Ensuring the platform could notify jobseekers instantly when relevant roles appear—without overwhelming them with irrelevant options.

Solutions

  1. Dynamic Frontend Interface
    I implemented a responsive and interactive layout using Bootstrap and custom JavaScript components to ensure smooth experiences on desktop and mobile.

  2. Profile Builder for Both Sides
    Developed intuitive forms and dashboards for jobseekers to list acquired skills and for recruiters to define job requirements from a standardized database.

  3. AI-Powered Matching Logic
    Coded a custom matching algorithm that continuously compares job descriptions and candidate profiles. When a 70%+ skill match is detected, the system sends an instant alert to the user’s device.

  4. Swipe-to-Apply Interface
    Mimicked mobile-style swipe interactions within a web framework—swipe left to engage, swipe right to skip—to keep users actively involved and reduce friction in applications.

  5. Interactive Feedback & Analytics
    Included real-time status indicators, visual match percentages, and automated suggestions to improve profile accuracy and success rates.
